Here are our planned courses for 2020:
Body Condition, Locomotion and Cleanliness Scoring. (11th September at 10.30am)
Learn and practice how to confidently score your herd. Also covering the benefits that it can bring!
Mastering Medicines (Various Dates)
Workshop on the safe and effective use of medicines on farm. Increase your knowledge of what drugs do and how to administer them properly. **Red Tractor Approved**
Practical Calving Course (15th September at 10.30am)
Practical opportunity to practice and perfect delivery of all types of calving. How to manage common diseases in the cow and newborn calf around calving.
Sheep Lameness Workshop (17th September at 10.30am)
Practical approach to lameness control in your flock, covering the most recent research into sheep lameness, the Do’s, Don’ts and how to reduce lameness on your own farm!
Smallholder Skills (14th October at 10.30am)
Practical session involving injection technique, routine vaccinations, worming, lameness and common problems faced by a small holder and how to solve them. The session will cover sheep, goats, camelids and cattle.
All £50 ex VAT per person with refreshments provided.
COVID precautions will be in place, held in small groups with PPE provided.
